How does The Auto Shield Canada Trade Wear Program Stack Up Against The Competition?

Chances are, you’ve likely heard of a few Trade-in Protection programs by now. Original equipment manufacturers, and aftermarket companies both offer variations of the product.

Whether it’s a Trade In Wear Waiver, XS Wear, Wear Pass, Excess Wear and Tear Coverage, or Worry Free Coverage, most programs provide sufficient coverage for common cosmetic damages.

However, many of these competitor programs lack flexibility. Nine times out of ten, these programs will only provide coverage at the time of trade-in – meaning the customer is without coverage while actually driving their vehicle.

Where can I get the Trade Wear repairs done?

A. If you have moved away or the original selling dealer is unavailable, take your claims to any licensed repair facility in your area. Please contact the customer care department for more information on where you can find a licensed repair facility. Call 1-888–406-4545 or email claims@goautoshield.com.  

If I am on a road trip in the USA, can I still make a Trade Wear claim?

No, but you can make a Road Hazard Claim! Call our customer care department (1-888–406-4545) or email them (claims@goautoshield.com) to let them know of the mishap and they will help you proceed with the claim, anywhere in North America.
